A Gift of Resources
Please join VIBS in the vital work of helping individuals and families affected by violence. Your support will ensure that everyone who comes to VIBS will receive the assistance they need.
There are many ways you can lend your financial support to insure VIBS' work.
- Donate Online
- Donate by Telephone or Mail:
To donate by phone, please call the Development Office at (631) 360-3730. VIBS accepts American Express, Discover, Master Card and VISA credit cards.
- To mail your donation, please make checks or money orders payable to:
Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk
P.O. Box 428

- Tribute Donations:
Tribute donations offer a meaningful way to recognize and celebrate important occasions in one's life and the lives of friends and family. Tribute gifts are especially thoughtful as an expression of sympathy or as a memorial remembrance. Each time a tribute donation is received, VIBS will send notification of the gift to the recipient and an acknowledgement to the donor. For a supply of tribute envelopes, please call (631)360-3730.
- Emergency Client Fund: Often, families taking steps to live an abuse and violence free life are temporarily plunged into poverty. VIBS traditionally asks for donations to help our neediest clients during the holidays, but unfortunately, like domestic violence itself, this financial crisis is not a seasonal problem. It is with this in mind that VIBS has established an Emergency Client Fund (ECF). The ECF allows VIBS to issue gift cards for food, toiletries, personal hygiene items, diapers, transportation costs, and other necessary emergency items to our clients who are struggling financially. Please consider making a contribution to the VIBS Emergency Client Fund by donating gift cards to countywide grocery stores and or department stores, i.e. Pathmark or Target. Donations of cash, checks and credit cards can be donor designated to the Emergency Client Fund. For more information please contact the development office at development@vibs.org or the VIBS Services Advocate at (631) 360-3730.
- Donate Stock:
VIBS is able to accept electronic delivery for donations of stock or securities. Please call VIBS' Development office at (631) 360-3730 for account information and transfer instructions.
- Donate Old Cell Phones:
VIBS accepts used cell phones for distribution to our clients or recycling. Consider holding a cell phone drive in your place of work or with a community organization. Please call (631) 360-3730 for convenient drop-off locations.
- Invest in the Future:
Making a charitable gift in your long-term financial or estate plan can continue your support of VIBS' work. Planned gifts can be made in a variety of ways; from a simple testamentary bequest to a complex trust, and can offer significant tax savings for the donor while contributing to VIBS' future financial stability. You do not have to be wealthy to consider including a charitable gift in your financial plans. To learn the best way for you to make a planned gift, please consult with an attorney, estate or financial planner, accountant or insurance broker.
